Ani Nwachukwu Agwu
By training and practice, Ani is a rural development specialist. Currently, he is the Research and Policy Lead at Connected Development – coordinating multidisciplinary research on themes ranging from public financial management (PFM) to natural resource governance; popular participation to gender and inter-generational interventions; education and health sector reforms to monitoring and evaluation of development interventions; security sector governance to subnational legislative practices; etc. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Agricultural Extension and Rural Development from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and University of Ibadan, Oyo State; respectively.
To strengthen his capacity to deliver international economic governance; in 2018, he proceeded for his doctorate at the Institute for Development Studies, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus (UNEC). He’s pursuing a specialisation in Development Economics and Public Policy. A prolific writer and public intellectual; Ani consults for a number of non-governmental organisations in Nigeria and actively participates in community leadership in his village and professional societies.
