Advocating Improved WASH Services
The USAID-funded Effective Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Services project seeks to WASH service delivery through Multidimensional Engagement and civic Mobilization.
The focus of the E-WASH program’s broader objectives of “strengthening policy, institutional, and regulatory frameworks for improved WASH services; and building national and state WASH advocacy, coordination, and communications for reform.
USAID is collaborating with CODE to mobilize all relevant stakeholders in Delta, Taraba and Niger States on E-WASH service delivery and creating platforms for engagement between the government and civil society.
Through targeted advocacy, awareness creation, multidimensional engagement and social mobilization, the project seeks to prepare citizens minds in a way to counter the probable attendant resistance from the broader E-WASH program reforms on ownership, commercialization and efficiency of the State Water Boards (SWB).
